AT THE EVENT:

• Grab Free Samples: This year's annual Earth Day celebration will feature samples of locally-made sustainable personal care products like soap and shampoo.

• Play Environmental BINGO: Turn in your Environmental Bingo card to receive a prize. Or pick up a card so you can win a prize in the future! If you have questions about any of the activities on the card, our volunteers will be there to help you.

• Learn about solar: A rep from Midwest Solar will be available to answer questions and provide information and demonstrations of Residential Solar. Midwest is the vendor who has done solar installations for most of the houses in our neighborhood and is doing installs in Prairie Point as part of a multi-year initiative. 

• Recycle: Bring the following items to the event and JRNA will make sure they get recycled or reused:

  • Used printer ink cartridges

  • Batteries

  • Pill bottles (labels removed)

  • Athletic shoes (worn out)      

  • Egg cartons  

• Volunteer: We’ll be organizing small groups of volunteers to:

  • Pick up trash from the ponds and prairie

  • Pull garlic mustard and other invasive weeds around the ponds

  • Weed the perennial gardens around the oasis and Little Free Library
